When visiting Germany you might want to see a few landmarks and monuments. These are located all over the country and showcase the country's history and its people. You will be able to get a greater understanding about Germany while you are there.

One of the most visited landmarks by tourists is the Neuschwanstein caste. It is located on a mountain top in southwestern Germany between the towns of Hohenschwangau and Fssen. It was built by Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm II, King of Bavaria to be a retreat for Richard Wagner. Over 1.3 million people visit the castle per year. It happens to be the most photographed building in Germany, but the interior cannot be photographed by the public. The castle has been in several movies, and has even been used to inspire several castles in Disneyland. It was even a finalist in the selection of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is a magnificent landmark to see.

In Berlin the Reichstag is one of the most popular and historical landmark. This building is the seat of the German Parliament. It was created by Paul Wallot after the founding of the German Empire. It took 10 years to construct, being completed in 1894. By 1933 the building was burned and left damaged for many years during the Cold War. It is free to enter the building but beware of the long lines and security checks.

While in Berlin, you will probably be able to see Germany's well known landmark, which is the Fernsehturm. It is a television tower in the center of the city. The Beauty of Caribbean Cruises

The beautiful scenes, the perfect weather and observing the wonders of nature. Indeed, it is a paradise and I am talking about Caribbean cruises.

If you're planning to go on a cruise, it can be difficult to choose between all the different cruise lines and destinations available to you. One thing is for sure, you want to create a memory that will live with you for the rest of your life. Caribbean cruises offer just that. Not only do they have all the natural splendors of the world, but there are many different options available to you, depending upon your price point and which destinations you wish to see.

There are several different Caribbean islands you can visit, and take in the scenery with your own eyes. What was once a dream can now become a reality. Anybody who's taken a Caribbean cruise will agree that it is an experience that will be hard to forget. The cost is minimal compared to the value of the experience you get.

When you go to the Caribbean, you're sure to see lush and abundant vegetation, beautiful beaches and breathtaking views. Even among the modern resorts in the Caribbean, you'll still experience an enchanting and fresh world.

Not to mention the climate and temperature are ideal, and the beaches are some of the best the world has to offer. Depending on which Caribbean cruise you choose, you may visit rainforests, shop in extravagant locations, or choose from a variety of different options.

Also, you can take a short cruise or a long cruise. It all depends on how long you wish to stay, and how much vacation time you have spent at the Caribbean.

Remember, Caribbean cruises don't have to be just for couples, it's an experience your whole family can enjoy. You can go on a school holiday, or during summer vacation with your children, so everyone can experience the Caribbean together!

Driving in Colombia

If you decide to rent a car and drive yourself around while in Colombia, there a few things to take into consideration. As in many other countries and nations, driving can be quite a different experience from what it is here in the United States. It is very important that a traveler abroad remembers this. In the United States we have set traffic laws and officers who enforce them, which is not necessarily so in Colombia. This makes driving in Colombia something comparable to one of our televised car races here in the States.

Traffic laws and speed limits are rarely observed or obeyed and even more rarely enforced as I have already mentioned. This creates much more dangerous road conditions than what we will ever be used to here in the states. The conditions make city driving dangerous for both driver and pedestrian and out of city driving just as dangerous. So, you would also do well to remember that if you are on foot in the city for very long, to watch out for the drivers because it seems the pedestrian does not have the right of way here in Colombia. The law concerning seat belts is the same as it is here in the states. Seat belts are a mandatory thing for front seat passengers. However, car seats are not mandatory for children, but children under ten are not permitted to be front seat passengers. It is also against the law to talk on your cellular phone while driving in Colombia and if you are caught doing so you could be up for some hefty fines.

If you are driving outside any major city at any time you must travel with your head lights on. It does not matter if it is day or night, this is a must requirement in Colombia. If you do happen do get involved in an accident the usual rules apply. You must not leave the scene of the accident until proper authorities have arrived and everything is sorted out, much like it is done here in the United States. This is another one of their rules that is strictly enforced, so if you do find yourself in this situation by some means please follow their rules.

Luckily for the American traveler road safety and security is slowly improving in some places, especially around the major cities like Bogota. However, the U.S. Embassy highly recommends that you do no traveling outside of major cities or urban areas, whether by bus or car. The Colombian Government has made extra efforts and taken extra precautions during holidays for travelers from all over the world, but outside those periods of time it is still not entirely safe for anyone to be driving around on their roads. There is also the danger of the guerrilla and paramilitary groups and even the common criminal being out on these urban roads which makes them dangerous in that way as well. So just remember to exercise extreme caution and safety if you decide to travel these roads on your own.

In addition, they offer a variety of locations and destinations available to you, to accommodate you. Don't be fooled by the name. Safety While Traveling In Colombia

Unfortunately, armed robbery and other violent crimes happen frequently in a lot of Colombian cities. This is not to say that if you travel to Colombia you are going to be the victim of some terrible crime, but it is best to go into the country prepared. It is best to go anywhere abroad with an idea of the cultural differences and an idea of the living conditions in general. Here in Colombia there is, unfortunately, some social unrest and disorder in places. Luckily, in the last few years some of these crime statistics have dropped in their frequency. The best thing to do when traveling in a country outside of your own is to use common sense and safety no matter what.

ATM machines, or Automatic Teller Machines, seem to be a recent hot spot for crime in the country of Colombia. If you have to use an ATM, please exercise caution. Victims have reported robbers even approaching them on motorcycles so that they may quickly flee the scene after they have committed the robbery. So, if it is at all possible for you to do while abroad, use an ATM machine that is indoors and preferably in a well populated area. If this cannot be done, please try to use outdoor ATMs only during daylight hours. The U.S. embassy also urges American travelers that are abroad to use a vehicle for transportation rather than walking. Of course, if you have a very short distance to your next destination, it is understandable to walk. The U.S. Embassy even warns the American traveler abroad to keep a watchful eye out for anyone who may be following you or keeping a watchful eye on you. They also put out the message to the traveler that if you do happen to fall victim to the crime of robbery, if you do not fear for your life or think you are going to sustain serious bodily injury that you should not resist your assailant. Most of these people that commit these crimes are merely trying to make some quick cash from the tourist and usually not out to harm. However, there is a much greater chance that you may be killed or harmed if you resist.

There is another serious problem that has been recently centered in Bogota. This robbery has victimized the tourist hailing a cab, which is picked up first, and then robbed by criminals the cab driver picks up afterwards. The cab drivers are usually in on this as well. The armed cohorts the driver picks up overpower the unsuspecting traveler and take their belongings. They have even been known to take the travelers ATM card and force them to go from ATM to ATM withdrawing money. So, it is a great idea to take advantage of calling a cab by telephone since there have been no cases of this type of crime from someone calling in a taxi. Only travelers hailing taxis off the street have been victimized by this crime. If you are traveling in Colombia it is a great idea for you to escort yourself around and to stay in public places at all times.

Please exercise caution and good sense if you are planning on traveling abroad to Colombia. The country has many interesting and beautiful sites, but the cities can be quite dangerous. Be careful in your travels.

Best Spas in Germany

Imagine spending a week in Germany. You viewed the famous landmarks, and tried popular restaurants. It has been quite an adventure. The reason people go on vacation is to relax and have a fun time. It still can be stressful when you consider the long lines, and crowded places. Wouldn't it be perfect to end the vacation with something to fully relax you? Consider booking a day or two at one of Germany's best spas. You will be pampered and ready to go back to your everyday life back home without all the stress that you had before the trip began.

In the spa town of Baden, you will find Brenner's Park Hotel & Spa. It is located in a 19th century property. There are many spa features available. You will be able to talk to a doctor, and a dentist, or have a magnificent massage that takes only an hour, but does the body good. The spa is famous for its hot mineral baths, so make sure to try it if you decide this spa sounds good for you. They also have a glass walled swimming pool that is low in chlorine and enriched with ozone.

Hotel Traube Tonbach is one of many located in the Black Forest. This spa offers treatments that many people are not used to. Some unique treatments to try include salt inhalation chambers and fountains of ice. You will also be able to try a traditional German hay wrap. This consists of wet organic hay being around you for 20 minutes, which detoxifies the body. It might be itchy, but worth the experience. The hotel offers many things to do other than the spa including carriage rides through the forest.

If you would like the stay in the area where the Black Forest is located, another option is the Hotel Bareiss. This hotel offers some of the best food in Germany along with beautifully decorated rooms, and amazing hiking. The restaurant has over 8 restaurants to choose from which serve authentic German dishes. The hotel also has a spa which is simple. It doesn't have dim lights and calming music. After spending the day hiking and exploring, that shouldn't matter because it will still feel good. Many of the guests at the hotel are natives to the country, so if you are looking for less of a tourist spot, you will feel at home with the Germans.

Caribbean Day Spa which is located not in the Caribbean rather in the city of Schwabach, has many body, facial, and high-tech cosmetic treatments available.

You have many options to choose from. You can have an aromatherapy massage, or spend the whole day in a wellness program. It is perfect if you are looking for a different style of treatments.

So, before your trip ends perhaps taking a spa break would benefit you. You will feel like a whole new person and be ready to return to where you call home. It will be added to the rest of the memories you will have while you visited Germany. Maybe it will be your favorite part of the entire trip!

Traveling in Cancun, Mexico

Cancun is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Mexico's easternmost state which is called Quintana Roo. This state is located on the Yucatan Peninsula and is most well known as the Mexican Caribbean. However, it does not share a similar climate with the Mediterranean. Cancun is of course one of the most well known tourist spots on the face of the earth. The center of this most popular city is located on the mainland which connects over two lagoons known as the Nichupte and the Bojorquez. There is a much older section of the city which is called the El Centro; it houses super blocks that are formed by intersections and traffic circles. Here in this part of the city you can find market places like the Xel Ha.

Cancun is not just known for its great beaches but for its many other tourist attractions as well. Cancun comes equipped with parks, green spaces, pedestrian walkways, and an assortment of national and historical monuments. There are hardly any buildings in this tropical resort over four stories high. There are, however, about one hundred and forty hotels in Cancun equaling to over twenty four thousand rooms altogether. There are also nearly four hundred restaurants. Every year Cancun receives over four million visitors with an amazing average of one hundred and ninety flights daily. A humorous fact is that the hotel zone in Cancun is in the shape of a seven. Which beaches you attend can be affected by what part of the seven you are on. If you are on the longer part of the seven you will find the beaches here to be much rougher and have quite a bit more erosion. Where on the shorter top of the seven you will find the beaches to have softer sand and have far more gentle surf. This is due to waves here on the shorter side being blocked by the island of Isla Mujeres which lies not far off the shore here. You can, however, find inexpensive hotels on either side of the seven and all around inexpensive accommodations. To accomplish this you may have to plan far in advance. Because Cancun is such a popular place it may be difficult to acquire something in your price range right away.

There is also the Mayan Ruins which are not far from Cancun. These are also a very popular tourist attraction. Of course, there are the great and many water related sports and attractions. There are many tours you can sign up for, even a tour to swim with the dolphins! There are even tours of the jungle that can be taken.

There is also an array of shopping places. There are even three Wal Marts here in Cancun! You will be able to find virtually anything you need while out of the country. There is nothing that you should want or need while you are in Cancun. Cancun is an ideal place for anyone to vacation in, especially vacationers from the United States. It's not too far from home and happens to be one of the safer Mexican cities.

In the nineteenth century there was an extension built onto the old city which includes attractions like Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, where the Fiestas de la Blanca start. The church of San Miguel is also here, the Los Arquillos which is something like and arcade. Every Sunday here in the extension to the old city there is a street market held which is one that any tourist might love to see and experience. And just a bit further south of this point is the Paseo de Fray Francisco which is a wide street lined with mansions which have recently been renovated for public use. Skiers can take in the beauty on one of the runs on the Laber Mountain which is behind the town. The main ski area is located across the road at the Kolben area and has a selection that is easier for beginners and intermediates. There are many places to choose from to stay overnight because of all the attractions in the area. This is a great spot if you want to get the true German feel with the locals.

There are many ski resorts to choose from. You can view information about each resort before booking. This way you will be able to find the perfect one. Each resort offers something new. It depends on how well you ski, and the area you want to visit. These areas are opened year round for people to visit. In the summer they can see the towns and the nature around. Life can take a toll on all of us. The stress of money, work, kids, can create problems for anyone, including couples. If you and your spouse need to get away for awhile, that would be your best option to relax, reconnect and just enjoy time together.

When deciding what to do for your alone time, consider a weekend romantic getaway package. Below are the reasons why this is a good choice for your buys lifestyle.

Reasons for the Getaway

Most couples know that time together is little to rare, and can be the reason why a lot of relationships end. Couples do not spend enough quality time together and eventually grow apart; busy lifestyles are a big reason for this. That is why a weekend romantic getaway package is perfect for those couples who want to invest in their relationship, but do not have enough time for a long vacation. Simple getaways like this will help a couple to be alone together, and to remember why they are together in the first place.

Different Packages

When considering a getaway for you and your partner, it is best to find something that will save you money as well as provide entertainment and luxury for two to three days. A weekend romantic getaway package is perfect for this. When you go for a package, you get an entire weekend full of pampering. Most of the times, for a reasonable price, the hotel will provide you with champagne, chocolates, flowers, a TV with your choice of newly released movies, as well as a spa package and VIP passes to the city's trendiest restaurants and clubs. Due to the fact that you pay up front for the whole package, travel agents and hotels can secure discounts on many area attractions and partner vendors.

For those couples who want a different kind of weekend romantic getaway package, something that is more than just relaxing and being pampered, an adventurous weekend getaway may be the perfect solution to a busy lifestyle. Check with your city or state's recreational parks to see what kinds of activities and the weekend romantic getaway package for couples they offer for ski resorts, or camping resorts.

A weekend romantic getaway package is a great solution to an overworked lifestyle. Sometimes it is best to reconnect with the one you love, to keep your relationship strong and healthy by simply getting away with one another for a weekend.
